History

Peter van Kleek was the hangman for a small town in the 1860s with a penchant for hanging people, earning the nickname, Peter the Hangman. When Will Wagenford was to be hanged for horse thievery, his brother gained a pardon; but Peter, obsessed with his work, went through with it anyway. Soon after, Peter disappeared, having been killed and buried in the wall of his mansion. Over the years, his house gained a reputation for being haunted, presumably by Van Kleek. He attempted to kill two visitors, Duncan and Laura, with his rope, but they discovered his remains and left.
