History
The Phantom was one of Mitra's angels. Allegedly, he only appeared to men whose death was near.
Circa 10,000 BC, he appeared at the borderline of Aquilonia to Conan of Cimmeria, before this one crossed the path of a priestess of Yog. As Conan was left to die in a the lost Crypt of Yog with both of his legs broken while the priestess left the place with immense power, intending to lay destruction on the world, Mitra's angel returned to the Cimmerian, and through thoughts offered him a bargain: His body's restoration in exchange for him serving as Mitra's avatar. The two avatars soon clashed, observed by both the angels of Mitra and the minions of Yog. Conan was victorious, but after the priestess' death, her blood, bones, and spirits would be absorbed by the land, rendering it barren, infertile, and cursed to be the theater of bloodshed in order to control that land (who would be known as Canaan, the Holy Land, Palestine).[1]Attributes
