History

One of three children to millionaire Jonathan Brown, the deformed brute that would become known as the "Phantom of the Bell Tower" was locked up in the attic of the family home out of shame. There he was kept for years. His only form of entertainment was an organ that connected to the bells in his father's private bell tower.

Following the death of his father, the Phantom was left in the care of his siblings Richard and Abigail, who would continue to keep their deformed brother locked up. Growing mad and longing for freedom, the Phantom murdered Richard and targeted Abigail next. The murder of Richard attracted the attention of the Angel who would investigate the murder. On the Brown estate, the Angel saved Abigail from death and clashed with the Phantom, when she was tied to the inside of a bell by her deranged brother; however, her face was disfigured.

When going back out looking for the Phantom, the Angel left Abigail vulnerable to attack and arrived too late to stop her from being strangled to death by her brother. Learning from the family butler how Abigail would go into the attic with a tray of food every day, the Angel then explored that location. Captured by the Phantom, the Angel broke free before the Phantom could use him to ring the bells. Beating the Phantom into submission, the deformed man surrendered and explain his miserable life to the Angel.[1]

The fate of the "Phantom of the Bell Tower" following this confession is unrecorded.
