Phillip Masters shared a similar history to his Earth-616 counterpart until Ben Grimm did not join the Fantastic Four. While out with his daughter Alicia Masters when she bumped into the Thing. The crowd assumed she was being attacked and they attempted to stop him, which drove Thing into a rage and Alicia and her father ran away.[1]
