History
Phoenix Force shared a similar history to its Prime Universe counter-part until the second team of X-Men did not form. The Phoenix Force did not inhabit the body of Jean Grey and was instead left in the sun until discovered by Lilandra Neramani. She was going to destroy the sun to get rid of it but instead Cyclops was going to sacrifice himself to kill the Phoenix Force. Instead a repentant Nightcrawler took Cyclops' place and was able to kill the Phoenix Force.[1]
