History

Pierre Cloche was a member of one of Canada's more prestigious trade commissions before he resigned to become Department H's Director of Foreign Affairs. In that role, he greatly annoyed the powerful Russian mobster, Ivan Pushkin, interfering in Pushkin's plans to expand into Canada. While working with Alphans Vindicator and Puck to safeguard a witness Maj. A. Barrington), the mercenary Maverick (who was a brainwashed operative for Pushkin) attacked. Cloche, however, was the second target, and was attacked by Pushkin's agent Sickle. Thanks to the timely intervention of Maverick and Vindicator, Cloche was lucky enough to survive the attack.
