Pietro was his father's plan coordinator and right hand man. He was the one to actually give Forge the order to release the Asteroid which would destroy Earth. When he found out his father and Mystique were killed because of Magneto's insane need to destroy the planet, he was upset but ultimately agreed that it had to be done. Pietro's neck was snapped by Hyperion just so that Weapon X could move on to the next reality.[citation needed]
