History
Several years ago, Colossus and Captain Kitty arrived in a port city known as the Caliphate of Nhu Yorkh to engage in some illicit activity. Their actions earned them the attention of the local constabulary and before long, they found themselves fleeing for their lives. Calling upon the mystical strength of his armored form, Colossus provided an escape route through an alleyway and blocked the guards from pursuing them any further.
As they reached the docks, they came upon an aging wizard and a blindfolded prince. The wizard, Xavier, explained to them that he was looking for an enchanted princess named Jean Grey. He further explained that Jean Grey had become corrupted by her darker passions and evolved into an evil entity known as Dark Phoenix. Captain Kitty and first mate Colossus volunteered to help the wizard locate their friends and free her from the corruptive influence of Dark Phoenix.
Kitty summoned her steed – a large black dragon known as Lockheed, who flew them all across the Western Ocean to an enchanted island. There, Colossus and the others met several strange creatures including a Bamf, and a surly brute commonly referred to as the Fiend-With-No-Name. While Kitty fraternized with the Bamf and the Fiend, Colossus wandered down to the shoreline. Floating in the breakers he found an ornately shaped bottle. Opening it up, he unwittingly released the form of an imprisoned genie known as the Windrider. The Wind-rider was grateful to Colossus for setting her free and explained that it was the Dark Phoenix who had placed her inside of her bottle prison.
Soon after, Dark Phoenix appeared in the sky above and began assaulting the crew with deadly star bolts. Wind-rider used her magic to provide Colossus, Kitty and the Bamf with artificial wings so they could bring the fight directly to their adversary. Colossus fought bravely, but was out of his league when confronting the cosmic presence of the Dark Phoenix. Fortunately, his actions distracted Phoenix long enough for the wizard Xavier to exercise the malevolent spirit from Jean Grey's body. With Jean returned safely back to normal, Colossus and Kitty said goodbye to their friends, and flew off upon Lockheed's back in search of more high adventure.
They didn't have to wait very long to find it. A short time later, they encountered a mutant super-hero from the planet Earth named Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler recognized that Colossus was a doppelganger of his own teammate Peter Rasputin of the X-Men. He told Colossus and Kitty that an evil, alien sorcerer named Shagreen had come to this world and imprisoned a hearty portion of the Bamf population. Colossus agreed to help Nightcrawler rescue the Bamfs, and they found themselves joined by another old ally, the Fiend-With-No-Name. They boarded Kitty's galleon, the Abdul Alhazred, and sailed for a treacherously mountainous region known as the Fangs of Doom. There, they found Shagreen's sanctuary nestled atop the mountains' peaks. While Nightcrawler took the battle directly to Shagreen's doorstep, Colossus and Kitty fought up against the sorcerer's malicious Deadwing guardians. They proved victorious and successfully defeated Shagreen while also freeing the Bamfs. Peter and Kitty took Shagreen into custody aboard their ship.[citation needed]
Colossus' current whereabouts and whether he still serves under Captain Kitty aboard the Abdul Alhazred remains unknown.Attributes
Powers
Colossus is gifted with the superhuman ability to convert the tissue of his entire body into an organic steel-like substance, granting him superhuman strength and a high degree of resistance to bodily harm. This substance, resembling organic steel, is of unknown composition but appears to be analogous to osmium and to carbon steel. He is able to transform into this armor-like state at will (the process is virtually instantaneous) and remain in that form for an as yet undetermined amount of time. Once in his armored form he remains so until he consciously wills himself back to normal. If he is rendered unconscious, however, he spontaneously reverts to his normal form. While in his armored state, Colossus possesses the same degree of mobility that he does in his normal form.
Invulnerability: The process by which Colossus transforms himself to armored form and back (including his gain of additional mass from an unknown, perhaps extra-dimensional, force) remains unknown. Colossus cannot become partially or selectively armored; his body is either entirely converted or not. Even his eyes become steel-like; his eyeballs can withstand and deflect the impact of a .45 caliber bullet.
In his armored form Colossus is highly resistant to most forms of bodily harm. His armor is capable of withstanding ballistic penetration, including that of a 110 millimeter Howitzer shell. He could survive a collision with a loaded, one-ton flatbed truck at 100 miles per hour or an explosion of 450 pounds of TNT. He can survive extremes of temperature from 70 degrees above absolute zero (-390 degrees Fahrenheit) to approximately 9000 Fahrenheit. However, it is theorized that above the latter temperature, his armored form would begin to melt. Colossus's armored form cannot rust under normal Earth conditions.
Colossus is in unusually fine physical health, permitting the transition back and forth from his normal organic flesh state to his armored form to occur with minimal stress on his system. His normal lungs are capable of holding his breath for 3.6 minutes. In the past he has exhibited a minimal or nonexistent need to breathe while in his armored state. However, it is believed that he could not survive for long in a vacuum. His endurance and speed are somewhat greater in his armored form.
The origin of Colossus' superhuman abilities remain unknown. Whether he acquired his powers as an accident of birth, or the result of mystical enchantment remains unknown. This version of Colossus is not a mutant.Abilities

Notes
- First mate Colossus' existence is predicated by the theory that whenever an individual creates an idea, that idea manifests itself as reality in an alternate dimension.
- As Colossus is a representation of Kitty Pryde's ideal fantasy, he is devoutly loyal to his Captain.
- Colossus speaks in a Russian dialect, despite the fact that there is likely no such country as Russia in his native world. Although this version must come from a region that speak a similar language.
