Synopsis for "The Scarlet Ruse"
The Heroes for Hire are hired by a mysterious beautiful woman calling herself Ms. Wonderly to safeguard some precious family heirlooms from her brother Phillipe. They agree when she doubles their normal rate before being visited by a blue-skinned man who demands the package and summons various apparitions to attack them upon their refusal but flees upon their defeat.
Afterwards, they hide the package and decide to seek out Ms. Wonderly at her hotel but discover it ransacked before Vision suddenly materializes through the wall in desperate need of aid. Iron Fist restores Vision's energy levels using his Iron Fist power who tells them that the Scarlet Witch and him came into one of a pair of powerful idols that were being sought by powerful forces and needed to be protected and came to the Heroes for Hire for the job using the Ms. Wonderly disguise. They are then visited by an image of the blue-skinned man they had encountered previously who demands the idol in exchange for the life of the Scarlet Witch, to which they agree. He then teleports them to a castle called Keep Zor and places them in its dungeon.
Vision appears then having hidden himself in his intangible form in Luke's body and they proceed to break out of the dungeon. Vision and Scarlet Witch, having been freed, help the Heroes for Hire battle the High Priest of Zor and his Demi-Demons. The priest manages to escape from being captured but Wanda is able to secure the idols. Afterwards, the castle disappears and they return to Manhattan victorious.
