—FireboltI am Death. I am the destroyer of worlds. I am judgement. I come to cleanse Slime Street of its iniquity. I come to save the whales. I would also like to guest-host Saturday Night Live. Resistance is futile, maggot-scum, for… I’m a Pepper! Wouldn’t you like to be a Pepper, too…?

Synopsis for "Slime Street"
The Heroes for Hire are eating at a pizza parlor with their friends when a shadowy figure who has intentions to "cleanse Slime Street" enters the Gem Theater. Inside the theater, a couple of street thugs are bothered by the presence of the man who eventually reveals his scarred face and mutters various things about meting out judgment along with other meaningless cultural references. He eventually shoots beams from his eyes which cause the theater to erupt in flames.
The Heroes for Hire are nearby and rush to the flaming theater. Iron Fist enters the theater and encounters the man who identifies himself as Firebolt and a fight ensues. Danny struggles to get the upper hand with Firebolt’s flame power and laser eyes. Eventually he is wracked by pain and flees the theater, while D.W. Griffith is rescued from the theater and is inconsolable about the destruction of the theater.
Later, a group of business owners speak to Griffith bout banding their resources together to hire the Heroes for Hire to help stop further destruction. During their discussion, another fire is detected at a nearby arcade. Power Man goes to the Port Authority bus terminal to get information about the man who apparently arrived from a town called Divinity but suddenly encounters a blond woman who appears to recognize him before fainting. At the Gem Theater, she reveals that Firebolt is her brother and has a vision of her brother falling to his death at the State Hotel. Cage receives a call from Danny to meet him there immediately thereafter. Along the way, she reveals that Firebolt has pyrokinetic powers while she possesses the power of clairvoyance. They had a harsh upbringing and during a moment of anger, Firebolt accidentally killed their father in a conflagration and was himself burned. He holds on to his father’s judgmental thoughts and looks to mete out justice upon the sinners of "Slime Street."
At the hotel already engulfed in flames, Iron Fist encounters Firebolt on the rooftop. Iron Fist loses his balance and dangles from the hotel’s large metal sign while Power Man runs into one of the businessmen from earlier who reveals Firebolt was working for him and is out of control. He rushes to the rooftop to help Danny and has a brief encounter with Firebolt until the roof collapses. Iron Fist is able to jump to safety and Power Man hangs on to a ledge but Firebolt falls to his death as predicted by his sister’s vision.
