Synopsis for "1985"

Power Man has to fight off S.M.I.L.E. and Control 7 operatives over Times Square to free Iron Fist, who is chained to the New Year's Eve apple which is set to drop. The apple is discovered to be a balloon and Luke and Danny take a big fall into a swimming pool after leaping free. They extract themselves from the pool and open the door to the adjacent building which impossibly transitions into a snowy landscape and the destroyed CCI facility in Alaska after the nuclear explosion that occurred after their encounter with Stanley Lumus.[1] The Power Man apparition then walks across the snow and looks through the facility's window and has a conversation with the real Power Man who is trapped inside, freezing and hungry and having been holed up in the vault for several days. He is at his wit's end, having hallucinated the Times Square scene, and begins beating on the wall of the vault while yelling at the imaginary Power Man, forcing Iron Fist to calm him down.

Meanwhile, outside the facility, Stanley Lumus has survived the nuclear blast but is severely disfigured and has lost his mind, muttering about ducks which had been a previous nuisance to him and triggered alarms while he was monitoring the facility. A CCI helicopter flies towards the facility while its pilot and copilot discuss the hilarity of the explosion before being scolded by their other passenger, CCI's chairman of the board. Inside the vault, Luke is convinced he has heard a helicopter outside and looks out of the window, witnessing an approaching Army helicopter which is blasted out of the sky by Lumus using a bazooka. Luke is stunned and panics by trying to open the door to the vault while Danny tries to stop him, explaining that doing so will bathe them with deadly radioactive fallout. He ultimately is forced to knock him out using the Iron Fist to stop him from killing them both but the vault door is opened just enough to allow Lumus to see inside and begin to attack them.

Danny dodges the bazooka blasts that Stanley fires at them until the weapon runs out of ammo and then stages a scene to convince Luke that he needs his help by lying on the floor and giving the empty bazooka back to Stanley. Luke awakens and reacts as Danny had hoped and takes out Stanley, fulfilling his desire to be needed. Afterwards, the CCI chopper arrives and the passengers provide radiation suits to Danny, Luke, and Stanley as they tell Stanley that they will get him help. Later, while inside the helicopter, Danny and Luke finally meet the CCI head honcho and are surprised when they discover her to be an attractive woman after she removes her helmet.
