Synopsis for "Meanwhile, Elsewhere..."
It's Katies turn to continue telling Franklin the story of their origin, and after first comming up with a wild tale about Whitemane giving them their powers with the help of a magic wand, she tells how things really went:
The injured Whitemane takes the four Power siblings onto his smartship, Friday. He tells them more about the various alien races in the universe, each of which at some point in history invented an antimatter device identical to the Annihilator Dr. Power just build, but which always resulted in the destruction of their planet. The Snarks were one of these races. But while the other alien races came together and forged the remains of their worlds into a new planet called Patchworld, the Snarks never learned from their mistake (due to their lack of imagination) and kept looking for ways to rebuild the Annihilator, which they intend to use as a weapon. Whitemane then takes the kids to Elsewhere, a so called 'between space' where they meet the Synod, the government of Patchworld, in order to explain the situation to them. When being told that the Snarks have captured a scientist who knows how to build the annihilator, The Synod decides that Dr. Power and his wife must be killed in order to wipe out the knowledge of the annihilator. While the Synod decides how to handle the crisis, Whitemane, knowing that he is dying from his injuries, decides to take matters into his own hands. With his final act he transfers his four powers, those of gravity, density, energy and velocity, to the four Siblings, and sends them back to Friday. Once there, the team discovers they got new costumes to go with their powers as well. Friday informs them that they are close to the Snarks' nestship. The Snarks notice them however and pull Friday into the nestship, where the Snark Queen, Maraud, orders her soldiers to kill anyone inside the smartship.
