History
The prison world was a planet that was created by mortal hands, one that was well hidden in the vastness of space. The planet was both heaven and hell, and was encircled by nigh-impenetrable laybrinthian protective shields that made it virtually impossible to find. The master of prison world was the Collector.[2]
Representatives from a thousand races were held captive on this small world, many of those races on the verge of extinction. The world had a few hundred thousand inmates and thousands of staff and guards who like the prisoners came from various races. Inmates who had committed no crimes and were being held against their will.The prisoners lived in prison-like cells within cellblocks. Among the prisoners were the spacefaring band of freedom fighters, the Starjammers. The Collector treated the inmates like dirt and bred them like cattle, as the guards conducted intrusive checks on the prisoners and their rooms.[3]
Wolverine ended up on this world because of Aria, who escaped the prison world and needed his help freeing the inmates. Once on the planet, he was captured and then broke free. Together with Aria they fought their way and took down the shields. Which unfortunately revealed its location to Galactus. Those that could escape on whatever ships were available did so, as Wolverine, Aria, and the Starjammers tried to delay Galactus long enough. The world was consumed by Galactus along with most of its inhabitants. Wolverine escaped along with the Starjammers on their ship, bringing Aria on board who died afterwards.[4]Residents
