—S'Yan[source]The goal was to make the perfect Wakandan weapon. A suborbital drop would let is strike beyond detection... absorb the aggression of any would-be colonizer... and use teir own force against them.
Project Koukou, a cloaked Shock Bomb, a Vibranium enlaced WMD meant to serve as a deterrent against invading outsiders. Crafted by the Wakandan science and development projects during S'Yan's reign.
History
Project Koukou, a Vibranium crafted Shock Bomb petitioned using the advanced aeronautics propulsion system developed by Prince T'Challa's birth mother N'Yami as a means of carrying it into position.[2] A project which the reluctant Takami quite the royal sci-dev wing in the late King & Queen's employ out of disgust.
Both during and before T'Challa's ascent to the throne of Wakanda, the furthering of Koukou became a topmost secretive priority. Particularly after the king willingly revealed his fiefdoms presence to the wider world at large.
Princess Shuri, sister to the Black Panther, was horrified upon discovering it's existence and the purpose of the shock bomb's design while combing through intelligence files to aid her sibling against the Winter Soldier. Going so far as to confront her Uncle to inquire as to what went through his mind when she created something that went against everything she & her brother were brought up believing in since they were old enough to walk.[1] The irate royal adjacent leaving incensed at how liberal her kin was with developing a tool of aggression that flew in the face of his own and the realms teachings.
After telling her King the hidden truth S'Yan had been keeping from coming to light. T'Challa felt the same level of aghast she had when first discovering such an abhorrent project. Whence after speaking on his nations behalf at the United Nations assembly and bringing the long missing N'Jadaka back home where he belonged.
The Panther Lord would seek to confront his uncle, inquisiting on his wayward decision to devise what he described as warmongering. In the meantime however, Erik lured Elder Takami to a secluded lab area at the Wakandan Instutue and slew him to pull information on it from his mind.[2]
N'Jadaka, now going by Erik Killmonger, sought to initiate global conflict. Pitting all of the world against the Golden Realm in a mad scheme to topple the continental powers and assert the hidden nation as it's predominant rulers when they storm out and conquer all beneath their survey. To accomplish this, he would set out by prepping the doomsday weapon he chanced upon whilst siphoning the dead elders secrets to demolish a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier ferrying some officials seeking to discuss partnership treaties to spark internal strife so as to push any remaining councilmen to oust the reigning Black Panther and go to war with the rest of the Planet.
He would utilize the Shock Bomb carrier's defenses; the Pouncers, to cause mass destruction all across Wakanda to distract his hated liege long enough to drop it over the foreign delegates and spark his world war. But Killmonger's plans would be stymied by the domains protector, whom managed to safely disable the shock bomb before it could destroy delicate peace negotiations.[3]Properties
The Vibranium Shock Bomb system uses advanced stealth propulsion engine designs conceived by Queen N'Yami; implemented by T'Chaka's brother S'Yan as a means to carry it over long distances into low orbit. Undetected by would be aggressors and colonizers until the moment of deployment via the carrier pilot.[3] Afterwards it would soak up all the energy produced from any counter offensive faced against it to increase Koukou's blast yield astronomically. Giving it destructive power equivocal to or greater than that of a nuclear warhead at the moment of detonation. Due to the conservative nature of the weapon a secondary defense system was devised for the airborne transport haul the device is ferried in.[2] To that end a specialized automated protectorate known as the Pouncers were engineered to run interference over a designated target area before the Vibranium charge could be properly deployed upon it's intended mark.
