History

Project Tomorrow is a secret government project created to conduct research on human/machine fusion. Howard Stark Sr. is the leader of the project and lately he becomes himself a human/machine hybrid. When he finds himself in need of an upgrade, they steal Remnant 242 from Stark Industries, thinking it is a new advanced technology, but not really understanding how to use it. They are eventually forced to kidnap Tony Stark to coerce him to unlock the mysterious object. It is thus revealed that Remnant 242 contains the decapitated head of an alternate universe Tony Stark, which it possesses a self-mechanism of defense that can shut down and destroy machinery.

Tony Stark survives the mechanism activation, while Howard Stark Sr., Ghost and Justine Hammer are killed.
