-- Psylocke about humans src

Psylocke was a mutant and a member of Callisto's Omega Gang, a group of mutant outcasts based in an underground network in the United States.

When the mutant cure was created, Psylocke and the Omegas protested, saying that there was nothing wrong with mutants and therefore, nothing to cure. Callisto decided to join Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants. The rest of her group, which included Psylocke, Quill, and Arclight, followed, and became leading members of the Brotherhood.

Psylocke and the Omegas fought in the battle on Alcatraz Island, where she, Quill, and Arclight entered Worthington Labs while the rest of the mutants fought outside. Psylocke captured Warren Worthington, and attempted to kill him by throwing him off a balcony, but his son saved him before he could hit the ground.

When Psylocke tried to escape the building, she was killed along with her teammates by the Phoenixs' disintegration wave, which began to destroy Worthington Labs from the outside.[1]

  • Meiling Melançon portrays Psylocke in X-Men: The Last Stand.
  • Melançon stated in an interview that her character would be able to transform into shadows and create psi-blades.[2] Though no shadows were visible when she demonstrated her powers, and she never used psi-blades in the film. She did, however utilize her shadow teleportation in the novelization of X-Men: The Last Stand.
  • Mei's character was played similar to Kwannon, but was credited as Psylocke. According to screenwriter Zack Penn, "There was some switching of character names later in production, and I'm not exactly sure how Psylocke got thrown into the mix."[3]
