Synopsis for "Mugger's Picnic"

As Frank teams with cop to take down a rapist in central park, Rosalie Carbone begins to take over her dad's organization.

In a meeting between Rosalie Carbone and the Carbone Crime Family, Rosalie insists that she should lead the organization now that her father is gone, much to the bosses' disapproval. In response, two of Rosalie's men gun down one of the bosses, taking his seat in the room. Shortly after, she tells her men that she wants them to kill the Punisher.

Meanwhile, in Central Park, the Punisher comes upon four men who are assaulting and mugging a family. The Punisher intervenes by throwing a knife at one of the criminals' backs and attacks two more. Then, Frank grabs one of the criminals and slits his throat, then chases down the other criminal and kills him.

The Punisher discovers a boathouse where the muggers are suppose to meet their colleagues. Frank takes aim at them, gunning them all down, and destroy their boathouse. Next, the Punisher hears a cry that comes from a child who is being kidnapped. He catches up to the kidnapper and punches him in the face, saving the child. Next, he tells the child's parents to never come to Central Park after dark. The Punisher walks around the park recalling the murder of his family in the very spot that it took place.

Meanwhile, in a bar called The Stop Inn, a bartender and a patron overhear a news report of members of the Carbone Crime Family and other mafia members being killed in a large hit. Back in Central Park, a man appears to be forcing himself on his girlfriend, causing the Punisher to intervene and hold a knife to his throat. However, the girlfriend begs Frank not to kill the man, so the Punisher releases him and he runs off with his girlfriend, terrified. Sometime later, the Punisher spots a woman jogging, who is attacked by a rapist. He intervenes and attacks the rapist, chasing him away. The Punisher aims his gun at the rapist, but the woman, who is a police officer aims her gun at him and orders him to freeze.

Notes

The injury Frank sustained in issue 4, has healed, though still has stitches, showing some time has elapsed, possibly up to 6-8 weeks, give or take.
