Synopsis for "War in Bagalia: part one"
Half a mile underground Bagalia City, the Punisher seemingly shot a man who was filming an investigation of the city's supposed change of ways and seemingly declared that if anyone set foot in Bagalia, they were going to die and that he didn't care who they were. At 5:47 A.M., Zemo's butler told him that the Chinese market was opening soft. At 6:07 A.M., he cursed Agger as he overheard Anderson Cooper report that he referred to Bagalia as a "future failed state" in a call with Roxxon's shareholders. Fourteen minutes later, Zemo's Butler told him that the ambassador was waiting for him and wanted to leave Bagalia as soon as possible. At 7:02, Zemo met with the ambassador, who criticized him serving cold cereal and toast. At 8:16, Zemo was apologizing over the phone as his butler reminded him about a lunch with the press corps. During a meeting at 9:42, his Butler told him that he needed to meet with the dockworkers union and that they were threatening a strike. When Zemo learned that he didn't have somebody to handle them, he ordered them to be killed, so that he could have fifteen minutes to himself.
He opened a door of a room that held the Punisher while animal torture videos were being played for him and at 9:45, he started taunting and striking him. Zemo claimed that he had become the hero "thanks to his villainy" and showed him a video of Jigsaw wearing his vest and shooting a citizen. Then, Zemo carved a skull into Frank's chest before telling the guards to knock him unconscious and stitch him up. Frank woke up in a cell and was released by a Hydra agent for a meal. When he was sitting down alone and eating, an agent named Young approached him and confronted him for killing his brother. Young unzipped his pants and threatened him before he grabbed him, slammed his face into his food, and gouged out his eyes before another agent shocked him with a stun rod. Frank grabbed the agent's rod and jammed it into his mouth before a third agent shocked him in the head with his rod.
Frank drew tally marks on the wall of his cell and grew long hair and a beard. After being let out, the prisoners noticed it, as well as the skull Zemo carved onto his body. He thought that the prisoners were trying to kill him, so he attacked them before they revealed that they wanted to make sure he was ready to meet with Sister Mercedes Arco de la Carcel, or Sister Mercy, who claimed that she was there to save him.
