Quote1 There're over eleven thousand cabs in New York City. And almost nobody has a good word to say about any of them. But when it's raining New Yorkers keep their opinions to themselves. They hate the cabbies even more. New York cabbies are near legendary for their surliness and indifference. It's their suit of armor. But somebody out there hates them with more than the usual venom. Five cabbies in as many weeks. All done with a .44 Magnum. Probably a Charter Arms Bulldog. David Berkowitz's weapon of choice. No sex angle. No big names. The press is ignoring. The cops have better things to do. Time for me to pull a few late nights. Quote2

Synopsis for "One Way Fare"

The Punisher was watching a news report of suspected meth dealer Delbert Rogofsky being released on bail after allegedly shooting a young boy named Ricky Delmarra. Meanwhile, a mysterious individual shot a taxi driver dead in the head in his own taxi.

Sometime later, The Punisher had Microchip modify a taxi. However, Microchip did not have any new information on Rogofsky. Then, Frank got inside of the taxi to take fares. He took several fares before he finally met a man who demanded money. In response, Frank sped up the taxi, injuring the man and knocking him unconscious.

Frank ate at a restaurant called Jolly Burger and was confronted by a Hack Bureau agent named Winslow over a fake taxi. In order to settle the matter, Frank gave Winslow several hundred dollar bills before leaving. Upon returning to his taxi, a woman asked him for a ride to Queens College, which he accepted.

During his fare, he received a transmission from Microchip, learning that the police were pursuing Rogofsky. Then, Frank sped up, attempting to catch up to Rogofsky. He spotted Rogofsky's truck and two men opened fire, while one fell off the truck and got run over by Frank's taxi. Rogofsky attempted to reach the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, but crashed, when Frank used built in strobing lights to blind Rogofsky and his men.

Afterwards, Frank told the woman that he would take her to Queens College. She said that she was going to be sick and told him to pull over. Frank did as she told and he learned that the woman was the Cabbie Killer. The woman claimed that she was killing cabbies because her car broke down and no taxi would stop for her, leaving her in a neighborhood, where she was raped late at night. As the Cabbie Killer held her gun to his head, Frank pulled a string that triggered a double-barrel, sawed-off shotgun that killed her and blew a hole in the roof.

Afterwards, The Punisher told Microchip to prepare a hose by the time he returns before the former hung up on his transmitter.
