Synopsis for "Ministry of Death"

It's a no-holds-barred fight to the finish between the Punisher and the bizarre cult-leader, the Rev, when the Punisher invades the "Ministry of Death!"

In September of 1987, Frank was sailing on a boat to Smithtown, Guyana with Reverend Smith and the Church of the Saved. On the boat, Smith was preaching to his followers. After the reverend's speech, Frank went into the cargo hold, where he was caught by Byron. Frank claimed that he was only checking the ties on the cargo. Byron told "Joe" (Frank) that the reverend wanted to talk to him. Reverend Smith ordered Frank to train the Church members in using firearms. After arriving in Guyana, the Church members took busses and rode them to the jungle, where they set up camp. When the Church set up camp, Frank went into the residence of Smith, who asked him if he knew who Richard Fryer was. Byron informed Frank that Richard Fryer was a congressman and C.I.A. agent who intended to come to Guyana in hopes of exposing them. When they finished their conversation, Vickie White walked with "Joe" to show him his room. "Joe" brought up her ex-husband, Ray White, but the woman dismissed it and the two shared a kiss with "Joe" before he went to sleep.

Suddenly, Keena woke "Joe" up from his sleep to test out their Stinger missiles at the airstrip. Keena informed him that they intended to shoot down a passenger jet when it flew over their camp. While they were together, Keena told him about how he first met the reverend. Suddenly, Keena received a radio transmission from Byron, who informed him that Deputy Prime Minister Umberto were present, and so was the reverend's sister, Sadie. "Joe" and Keena returned to the camp, where there was a party and where the former of the men met Sadie. Moments later, "Joe" and Sadie found themselves kissing each other. As they were about to have sex, Frank claimed that he was already in a relationship. However, Sadie claimed that the reverend did not permit monogamous relationships, as they believed it was "dangerous to the socialist ideal." Afterwards, Sadie and "Joe" returned to the party, where the latter asked to speak to the reverend. Sadie informed the reverend that Richard Fryer would be arriving in the country one day from then, much to the annoyance of her brother, who scolded her. Afterwards, the reverend admitted to "Joe" that he, in fact, did not believe in God, and the two returned to the party.

An hour later, the reverend gave a sermon to his followers. During the sermon, a man suddenly rushed up and attempted to stab the reverend, only to be stopped by "Joe", who intervened. Later, Reverend Smith ordered Keena to go to the airstrip, while he showed "Joe" two pots filled with potassium cyanide, which the reverend referred to as "revolutionary suicide." Later on, after Frank armed himself, he went outside to see Byron addressing their armed Church members, informing them that the C.I.A. was coming. Suddenly, Frank shot Byron and ran away, evading gunfire from the other Church members, into the reverend's residence. Next, Frank confronted the Smiths by holding the reverend at gunpoint. Suddenly, Sadie attacked Frank by throwing the potassium cyanide at his face, which responded by kicking her. Frank washed the poison off of his face and escaped by jumping out of the window. Frank reluctantly opened fire on the armed Church members before going back inside and holding his gun to Reverend Smith's head. Suddenly, Sadie attacked Frank, attempting to save her brother, but Frank fatally shot him and punched his sister. Afterwards, Frank got onto the reverend's microphone and claimed to his followers that he did not want anymore killings and that they should return to America and work for change there. Next, the reverend begged Frank to take him to a doctor; instead Frank walked away leaving him behind, telling him to "heal thyself."

When Frank went outside, he encountered a car with U.S. Representative Richard Fryer. Frank claimed to him that he was "Rainey of the C.I.A." Back inside of Vickie's dorm, she was holding her daughter, Melissa, telling her that they would return to America next. Upon returning to America, Frank took Vickie and Melissa to Ray's residence, where they were reunited with him.
