Synopsis for "Mother Russia, Part Three"
Frank Castle commences his slaughter of the Russian army.
Continued from the previous issue...
The Punisher made his way through the base killing soldiers as he searched for Galina Stenkov. A woman rushed into the room where Galina was being held and was gunned down by the Punisher, who then, entered the room. Meanwhile, the Generals were in a room, monitoring the progress of the mission. Back, in Russia, Galina claimed to Frank that her father and other people "had been mean to her" by sticking things into her arm and taking blood from her. Frank claimed that if anybody was "mean to her" that he would "be much meaner to them." Next, Frank picked up Galina and rendezvoused with Vanheim to leave the base. As, they took the elevator and went to the exit, they saw a tank outside, waiting for them. Quickly, Castle and Vanheim opened fire on the two men, then dodged machine gun fire from the tank's machine gun, before quickly taking the elevator downstairs.
Somewhere else in Russia, Major Grigori Yeremin of the Russian Armed Forces was reading a newspaper while talking to his fellow officer Colonel Semyon Lugansky about the attempts to retrieve the virus from Galina's bloodstream, when General Nikolai Zakharov had arrived with his Mongolian subordinate. Zakharov discussed the arrival of an American helicopter in Russia the previous night that was not shot down by a MiG, like ordered. Next, Yeremin informed Zakharov of a bar fight that some guards who guarded a nuclear silo got into. Then, Zakharov ordered Yeremin and Lugansky to find the survivors of the fight. Suddenly, a soldier came in and informed the officers that there was a firefight at the silo. Back at the base, Vanheim searched the terminals for exits, while Frank went to the armory to pick up guns and an RPG. Meanwhile, Russian soldiers stopped outside of the base entrance, only to be met by the Punisher, who fired the RPG and began to gun down the other soldiers, rushing towards the tank's machine gun. When Frank got onto the tank's machine gun, he began to cut down the soldiers. After more Russian soldiers had arrived, Frank got inside of the tank, found some explosive material, set it to blow, and fled the tank before it exploded, killing several soldiers, sending one of the soldiers', dead, mutilated body flying into the window of Major Yeremin's truck.
In a war room, Zakharov questioned his fellow officers about the bar fight in Suhdek, much to Yeremin's annoyance. Meanwhile, Nick Fury was in bed with three women, when he phoned a general, telling him to keep NORAD out of their operation before going to sleep.
