Synopsis for "Mother Russia, Part Five"
The defense of the Silo takes a turn for the desperate.
Continued from the previous issue, Russian soldiers continued to storm the silo, while Lugansky and Yeremin learned of a Saudi airliner getting shot down, allegedly by Al-Qaeda. However, they deduced that they were actually Americans posing as Al-Qaeda. Meanwhile, back at the silo, the Punisher had been knocked down on the floor by the Mongolian, who attempted to capture Galina. However, this reminded him of the time that he failed to save his daughter, so he quickly got up and beat the Mongolian to death. Meanwhile, The Generals were watching Castle on a screen, when Nick Fury entered the room. Frank gave Galina a gun before preparing to fight the remaining soldiers storming the silo. Meanwhile, Vanheim was prepared to inject Galina with a syringe. Fury confronted the Generals about having a Saudi airliner shot down and attacked one of them. Frank stopped Vanheim from injecting the girl, as the former soldier claimed that he was under orders to extract the antidote from her body. Meanwhile, Zakharov and Lugansky were discussing launching nuclear weapons at the United States. Suddenly, Zakharov, Lugansky, and Yeremin recieved a message from Castle and Vanheim demanding safe passage from the silo to the Gory Byrranga Mountains or else they would "burn Russia and its people from off the face of the Earth."
