Synopsis for "Punisher: One"

A wedding reception is interrupted by the sudden arrival of two mob factions, leading to a shootout with the wedding guests caught in the crossfire, including the bride and groom.

Later that night, Detective Oscar Clemons arrives at the crime scene and is informed that 27 are dead, and 19 are wounded. The groom was killed but the bride is hanging on. Inside, he meets with his new partner, Detective Walter Bolt, who tells him that the wedding was for Dr. Daniel Alves to Rachel Cole. Bolt thinks someone at the wedding was a target, but Clemons notices that one armed man was shot as he came in, meaning it was a case of wrong place at the wrong time.

The next morning, Bolt mentions that Rachel Cole was a marine that returned from her second tour in Afghanistan. Shortly after, Clemons gets off the phone and says that Cole is in surgery and two of the wounded guests died on the operating table. However, one of the groomsmen has regained consciousness. As they go to talk to him, Bolt gets a text from an unknown sender requesting a dead drop, an exchange of information, in 19 minutes regarding the wedding. Soon after, Bolt sits on a bench in a subway station with a packet of information.

Sometime later, Clemons and Bolt are asking prostitutes for information on a weapons dealer named Sway. When they get an answer, they go to Sway's van and find him dead.

Meanwhile, the man who led the wedding shootout is toasting with other members of the Exchange when the lights suddenly go out. The darkness provides cover for an unknown shooter to take out everyone in the room. In the end, the man and the shooter are the only ones left standing. The man shines a lighter on the shooter and realizes that it is the Punisher, who, instead of shooting him, decides to let him go.

Synopsis for 2nd story

Detective Seever is conducting an interview with Officer Bolt. Bolt and his partner Officer Scott Moffat were conducting surveillance on a drug dealer named Hernando Torres, who was meeting with others at the Cloisters. They were unaware that they were being followed.

But when they arrived at the meet-up at the Cloisters garden, they realized that it was actually a confrontation. To make matters worse, a visting class of students were between them. Bolt tells Seever that he pulled the fire alarm to evacuate the civilians when actually it was a gloved man who pulled the fire alarm and stopped Bolt from revealing himself.

Then, a shootout occured between the two groups of men and Moffat. The gloved man pulled out his gun but was shot in the hand and took Bolt's gun when he dropped his own and revealed himself as the Punisher to the shooters. While he took out the other shooters, Moffatt killed Torres before being gunned down himself.

However, in the interview, Bolt takes credit for the whole thing without mentioning the Punisher's involvement. Seever tells Bolt that his actions will lead to a promotion to detective and that he's a hero.
