Pythagoras of Samos was one of the original members of the Triumvirate, a group of three Greek philosophers/sorcerers who attempted to jointly fill the position of Sorcerer Supreme from 550 B.C. to 400 B.C. He was replaced by Empedocles of Agrigentum in 470 B.C.[1][2][3]
