History
Rachel McGregor was part of Mycroft's team of psychic investigators along with Countess Caution. Rachel was the only member that seemingly had any real psychic abilities despite being blind. When Nick Fury came to investigate the grounds of Castle Ravenlock on behave of his friend Ken Astor he met up with the group who were there to look into the Castle's curse.[1]
Nick Fury was able to solve the curse that turned out to be a ruse perpetrated by her acting guardian and boss, Mycroft, and the castle's lord, Gavin Ravenlock. Mycroft was using an alias and his real name was Miles von Croff and he commanded a group of former Nazi sailors. Years earlier just after the war he made a deal with Gavin Ravenlock to supply him with treasures that von Croff's crew plundered from hapless victims in exchange for their relative safety on the grounds that belonged to the Ravenlocks. The plot was ended when Gavin Ravenlock was killed by "Mycroft" and not soon after when Fury actions led to the deaths of Miles von Croff and his crew. Their deaths occurred after Fury boobytrapped their U-Boat to explode which caused the collapse of a tower that housed their secret hideout.[1]
With the curse ended Angus McGregor, the castle's caretaker, informed Rachel that Mycroft had adopted her as his ward after her father, Angus' brother, was on his deathbed due to sickness. Rachel's mother had already died during childbirth. After explaining who she was Angus asked Rachel to come live with him in Castle Ravenlock.[1]See Also
