History
Battle with Bel-Dann[]
Raksor was a military officer and warlord of the Skrull Empire, sent to observe the trial of the Phoenix and her human host Jean Grey by the Shi'ar Empire. Charles Xavier, however, demanded a duel to decide her fate, leading to the Shi'ar empress Lilandra deciding to consult the Supreme Intelligence and R'Klll, the leaders of the Kree and the Skrull empires respectively, when Kree observer Bel-Dann objected to a trial by combat. The two leaders agreed as long as it was made sure the X-Men lost. For this purpose, they assigned both Bel-Dann and Raksor to observe together, much to the latter's chagrin.[1][5]
Not content on merely being an observer, Raksor impersonated Storm and tried to strangle Wolverine to ensure the X-Men lost, but was stopped. Bel-Dann however saved the Skrull observer and insulted him for letting his life be endangered, and stated that he would be dead without him. Raksor became incensed and proceeded to attack him,[1] leading to a battle that continued for months in the bowels of the ruins of the Blue City as they were too evenly matched. They were stopped by Uatu the Watcher who showed them a message sent by their leaders. The two rulers stated that the latest phase of the Kree-Skrull War had exhausted both the empires. As a result, they had agreed to determine the victorious empire through a duel between Bel-Dann and Raksor, to which both warriors agreed.[5]
Uatu was chosen as the judge of the battle. Unknown to both warriors, the city of Attilan had been established by the Inhumans on the edge of the Blue City, while they had been busy fighting. During the wedding day of king Black Bolt and Medusa attended by the Fantastic Four, the warriors resumed their combat and were now outfitted with powerful weapons. Their fight beneath the Blue City destabilized Attilan's foundations, causing blue flames to erupt and making the House of Agon as well as the Fantastic Four investigate. Raksor attacked them after having discovered them and decided to eliminate them so Bel-Dann couldn't take advantage. Being successful against the Inhuman king and Medusa, he recognized who he was fighting after being attacked by Human Torch and Invisible Woman, deciding to flee rather than spend time in battling them.[5]
Retreating back to Attilan, Reed Richards planned out how to best deal with Raksor and Bel-Dann, both of whom they had separately fought, and got Uatu to cooperate with him. As Bel-Dann and Raksor engaged in combat, they neared the nuclear power plant of Attilan and inflicted heavy casualties on the Inhumans who tried to stop them, but were eventually forced to withdraw and confronted by the House of Avon as well as the Fantastic Four. As the two warriors started losing, they realized their only hope lay in an alliance. The Terrans pretended to lose and Uatu appeared afterwards, declaring both won by working together, which was the best solution for their empires. As he banished them both to their home, he told them to inform their empires about what happened.[5]
Skrull Civil War[]
Raksor had been transported back to the Power Asteroid after his battle with Bel-Dann, and discovered that the Skrull throneworld Tarnax IV had been destroyed, while the empire itself was enduring a civil war. When Zabyk seized control of the facility, he hid himself and discovered the rogue Skrull reuniting with his old friend Myrn, who suggested using the Power Asteroid as a weapon of mass-destruction in order to ensure Zabyk's dream of changing the Skrull Empire came true. Raksor fled and tried contacting the Skrull Armada, but found they had sealed off the Base Planetoid. In order to stop Zabyk and Myrn, he decided to free prince Dezan who was their friend in past and had once plotted to change the ruthless nature of the Skrull Empire.
Raksor infiltrated the Skrull prison planet of Klarr along with Baryn and another Skrull, disabling the alarms and interceptor beams. As the team fought past Klarr's defences, Raksor was the sole member to survive and was able to free Dezan. He told him why he had freed him and took him to the Big Casino spaceship run by a Skrull called "Floyd Donahue". Donahue, after meeting the Avengers and learning they were going to the Power Asteroid under permission from General Zedrao to track Nebula, took them to meet Dezan who explained their situation to them. Major Syrro, who had been accompanying the Avengers, meanwhile lambasted Raksor for freeing Dezan. Raksor in return explained why he had no choice but to free him. The Avengers agreed to help and infiltrated the Power Asteroid with Dezan using the Spirit of Coolidge spacecraft, but were unable to defuse the Hyperwave Bomb which nullified the Skrulls' shape-shifting abilities.[6]
Slaughter Squad[]
Raksor later joined the criminal Mister Knife's Slaughter Squad when Kl'rt became the Skrull emperor after a civil war between the various Skrull warlords. The squad invaded the planet Kymellia III and Raksor was sent to infiltrate as a Kymellian in order to let the others into the Ghostmare Vaults. Czar-Doon punched him for being late, which almost led to a fight between the two, before the others defused the situation. Raksor led them to the Kymellian Steel Brigade, who were all slaughtered. The squad then entered the Unseen Chamber with the help of Father Diablo to retrieve the Black Vortex, but Nux Vomico decided to have a look at it despite Knife's orders. Knife executed Nux when he was possessed by the Black Vortex, and warned the squad to never disobey him.
Since Knife had put out a bounty on Peter Quill, Raksor decided to apprehend him alone in order to be rewarded and contacted him in the disguise of a Kymellian named Lucien, claiming to be involved in an encounter with the Slaughter Squad and knowing about Mister Knife. When he met him at planet Cor and finished telling him about what the Slaughter Squad did on Kymellia III, Peter asked him about its next target. Raksor cuffed him and stated he was, before revealing who he actually was. He was however stopped by Drax the Destroyer and Peter later revealed that he had already realized he was a Skrull, when he swore an oath like one instead of how the Kymellians did. The two then interrogated him and made him tell what he knew about Knife.[3]
Raksor and the Slaughter Squad later abducted Peter on Spartax, while he was on a holo-date with Kitty Pryde, and brought him to Mister Knife at his mobile headquarters called the "Flying Fortress." However, Kitty located and rescued him. The Squad later went with Knife to Brennan-7, so he could convince Thane to join him, but they were soon attacked by a giant monster. Raksor, along with Delphinia and a Kymellian, tried fighting it, but were knocked out. Thane, however, quickly encased it in amber.[7]
Sometime after Knife's defeat, Raksor took his revenge on Peter and Kitty by pretending to be Iron Man and telling them to deliver a Penultimate Nullifier to Hank Pym, in order to stop the Brood from conquering the galaxy. Unknown to them, he had given them the coordinates to the Frog Base, where they were taken prisoner by the Star-Kat Squadron for the Collector.[2]
Empyre[]
At an unspecified point, Raksor decided to return to the Skrull Empire and reconciled with his old foe Bel-Dann. The two however escaped to Earth due to the upheavals going on in their empires. As the two tried to find a way to unite their races, a secretive Kree/Skrull alliance was created after the Skrulls and the Imperium grew tired of war. Bel-Dann and Raksor were deployed to persuade Teddy Altman into becoming emperor of both.[4][8] Their mission however was hastened with increasing attacks of the Cotati on their two empires and they contacted Teddy at a gay bar where they told him everything. The Children of Lost Tarnax, Skrull zealots opposed to a half-breed emperor, attacked them there, but surrendered upon seeing Teddy wielding the Excelsior.[9]
Having completed his mission Raksor left a voicemail for Bel-Dann informing him that their jobs were done, unaware that his ally had recently been murdered by a Cotati disguised as a houseplant. As he prepared to leave Earth and return to his homeworld, he was confronted by Mister Fantastic, Captain Marvel, Jessica Jones, and Blue Marvel over Bel-Dann's death and a hexadecimal code that said "beware the trees." Raksor explained to them that he and Bel-Dann were working together to unite their races and asked them what his final message was. After learning it, he realized it was too late and was killed when a tree grew out of his body, from an apple he had eaten moments earlier. His last words before dying were "empires will fall."[8]
Both Raksor and Bel-Dann wanted their ashes to be spread together in the tunnels of the Blue City on the Moon, where they had fought each other for months in past. After the defeat of the Empyre of the Cotati at the hands of the Kree/Skull alliance and the heroes of Earth, Captain Marvel and Reed Richards honored their wish.[10]Attributes
