History

Mystique's history apparently mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart, up until Wolverine's encounter with the Hulk on the outskirts of Dallas. Wolverine initially had the upper hand, but the Hulk became consumed by rage, and he finally killed the mutant. Freedom Force were called in to arrest the X-Men but allied with them to help defeat the Adversary. Before confronting the Adversary the groups helped save Rogue from the Hulk. During the fight, several members of Freedom Force were killed and Mystique transformed into Rick Jones and tried to calm the Hulk down. This plan was successful until the Adversary appeared, disguised as Wolverine and stabbed Mystique, killing her and revealing her true appearance.
