Personal History

Ray Gill was an American comic book writer, artist and editor, who was active from 1937 until the early 1950s. Born Raymond A. Gill, he attended the High School of Industrial Arts in New York City. He was the brother of comic book writer Joe Gill.

Professional History

Gill worked for Timely Comics and Atlas Comics during the Golden-Age of comic books. Throughout the 1940s, Gill was writing scripts for various Timely and Novelty Comics features, co-creating 'Airman' and 'Terry Vance'.
