Synopsis for "The Man Who Gunned Down Red Wolf!"

Alvah Bradley hires a gunhawk by the name of Fast John Silver to kill Red Wolf. Alvah wanted Red Wolf dead so that he wouldn't interfere with his plans to take over a portion of Cheyenne land in order to allow his livestock to drink freely. Silver ambushes Red Wolf and appears to kill the warrior then returns for pay. When Silver makes it back to Bradley he is offered a job to oversee the taking of the Pah Pana the sacred land to the Cheyenne that holds the water Bradley is unwilling to pay for.

Red Wolf however was not killed as the bullet thought to do the deed it his medicine pouch that was filled with iron and stone and stopped the bullet before it could enter his body. Thankful for his life he rode to Fort Rango where Molly Brennan entered in a panic stating the Cheyenne were on the war path. As Johnny Wakely she asked him to speak with Red Wolf so that he might end the hostilities. Colonel Sabre agreed that if Johnny could stop the War Path there would be no need for bloodshed and so he rode out to investigate.

As Red Wolf he confronted the Cheyenne Long Spear and his warriors who were attacking a ranch after a small skirmish Red Wolf was informed what had transpired on the Land of the Sacred Sky and how men came in an pushed the medicine men who were fasting there out by force. Red Wolf spoke to Long Spear of a plan he had and the two came to an agreement with Long Spear leaving happily knowing no Cheyenne would lose their lives with this plan.

During nightfall Red Wolf went to the taken land and painted the trees with a phosphorus ointment in the shapes of men. This scared off Bradley's hired guns and John Silver. As they fled Red Wolf ambushed a few to turn over to Colonel Sabre during which an angry Bradley came riding in accusing the Cheyenne of stopping the water from flowing completely. Red Wolf insured that they did not and the three men rode out to check. What they saw were many beavers making dams that stopped the flow of water, although unknowing to Bradley Red Wolf had the Cheyenne place the beavers there to do just that.

With John Silver still running free Red Wolf departed the two men and followed the horse trail to Silver where his name sake gave him away before he could fire from a cliffside ambush. Red Wolf slithered up the side of the cliff unbeknownst to Silver and disarmed him then took him back to Sabre where Silver and Bradley were to be imprisoned for their crimes on the Cheyenne people.
