History
The Redeemers were a team formed by Nighthawk to oppose the Squadron Supreme's attempt at using their powers to solve all of society's ills, such as hunger, crime, war and social class. Nighthawk believed that the Squadron would never be able to solve the core causes of these issues, and would only cause greater trouble.[1]
The two groups clashed in a climactic battle which saw the Squadron emerge victorious, and cost Nighthawk his life. Nighthawk and the Redeemers were proven right in the end however, as the world's governments had created a bomb designed to eliminate the Squadron Supreme once and for all. Hyperion was the only survivor.[1]See Also
