History

Dr. Reed Richards was a genius scientist gifted with the ability to stretch various parts of his body to great lengths. He protected Earth as a superhero and a member of the Fantastic Four, and was invited to join Illuminati by Doctor Strange, joining the likes of Black Bolt, Professor Xavier, Captain Carter, and Captain Marvel. At some point, he married and had at least two children, continuing to fight with the Fantastic Four and the Illuminati on their behalf. In 2018, the Illuminati fought the powerful Thanos, who planned to wipe out half of all life across the universe. Doctor Strange killed Thanos by using the magic of the Darkhold, but its power corrupted him and Black Bolt was forced to kill him. Baron Mordo took his place in the Illuminati, and Strange was honored as a hero, while Reed continued protecting Earth and began to investigate the multiverse.

Reed was later present when Stephen Strange of Earth-199999 and America Chavez were arrested, informing Strange of his counterpart's actions in causing an Incursion. He later confronted Wanda Maximoff, who was being controlled by her counterpart from Earth-199999, where he was killed.
