Remlik was the bodyguard and right-hand man of Borya Cich, also Croatian like his employer, and a hater of mutants. After causing an incident at Borya Cich's estate during a fundraising event, Gambit tricked Remlik into thinking he was taking a girl to safety, before infiltrating the estate and robbing her of an artifact that Cich had come into possession of.[1]
