History

The Remnant Men were the results of genetic experiments by the Master as a part of his attempt to both understand how much pain humans could endure as well as to test their strength. He experimented on hundreds of people and forced them to serve him. He used them as protectors of his ship while it was based in the Black Hills of South Dakota. They were reverted to human form by Talisman.
