Gambit the Collector operated on the Battleworld, gathering unique items for his collection. On one occasion he and Kitty Pryde spend a night together in Higher Avalon. He later sought to exchange with her a rare artifact which supposedly originated outside Battleworld for a set of unique knives carved from the bones of a Longshot. The deal went south when Gambit mistook the intervention of Peter Quill for an attempt to set him up and left with both the knives and the artifact in his possession.[1] Quill and Pryde went after him and eventually recovered the artifact, leaving Gambit to the Thors.[2]
