History
He appeared not as an X-Man but a master thief for hire. He sometimes help both sides, He was ordered to steal a necklace from the X-Men, and he partially teamed up with Wolverine to steal back the necklace.[1]
He appeared again when he was hired by Senator Kelly to steal Magneto's helmet. Gambit charmed Polaris to unknowingly aid him in his task. After he left her, Polaris got infuriated and disabled Gambit's get away and took her father's the helmet back. Gambit was then left stranded in the ocean.[2]Paraphernalia
