Requiem for a Conqueror was a planned story or story-line that was mentioned by Roy Thomas in the last section of the final chapter of the Conan Comics Chronology (Conan Saga #95; February, 1995).
Plot[]
During the Hyborian Age, after years of travels westwards, to the strange kingdoms of the far-western continent, such as Mayapan, Zothique, and Poseidonis, Conan returned to Aquilonia.
There he joined his son Conan II in a battle against ominous forces that threatened to bring down the whole of the Hyborian civilization.[1]
Notes[]
- Similarly, revelations of Klarkash-Ton were supposed to be unveiled in the following issues of Savage Sword of Conan, but no stories or articles mentioning or involving him were released, though some of the ideas were possibly used in the last issue of Conan the Savage (the title replacing Savage Sword).
- If it had been published, this story would have been the farthest into the life of Conan published so far.
- The event was mentioned in the Conan Comics Chronology ("as interpreted by Marvel Comics") by Roy Thomas, and should be considered canon until stated otherwise.
