History
Richard and his wife Mary were spies investigating a machine called the Doomsday Device created by the Red Skull in Russia.[1] They were killed whilst on a mission and their young son Peter was left to be raised by Richard's brother Ben and his wife May.[2]

An illusion of Richard Parker and his wife Mary would appear before their son Peter, after he was caught infiltrating the cultish Center for Reunification, through the manipulation of its leader Baron Mordo.[3]
Years later, after learning from Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. that his parents were traitors, Peter travelled to Russia in an attempt to clear their names.[2]
