History
The man who impersonated Ricochet was one of several unidentified homeless orphans who was picked up by Calvin Zabo and given the same powers as Spider-Man via a serum (which was described as being similar to the Lizard formula but with arachnid enzymes). The purpose of which was to see how people who had a similar background to Peter Parker would react to gaining powers: Would they use the powers for good or evil? After Spider-Man discovered a few of these imposters and that the serum was mutating them into spider creatures, he rounded up several and brought them to the police. Here, they waited until Doctor Connors administered the antidote, returning them to normal.[1]
