History

Rieg Davan underwent special training in the Syfon Warrior division of the Nova Corps on the planet Xandar, becoming one of the division's most adept operatives. Forced to land his damaged starship on Earth, he became amnesiac for a time and was tricked into the services of the villain Condor.

After regaining his memory with the help of the leader of the Nova Corps, he returned to Xandar to aid in their war against the Skrulls, becoming a part of the Champions of Xandar. They were able to save Adora from Skrulls and defeat their invasion fleet, which allowed him to be fully pardoned.

Powerhouse is presumed to have died fighting the forces of the world-conquering Nebula while attempting to protect Xandar. They failed and the planet was left in ruins.

• Superhuman Strength: Rieg was strong enough to lift one ton under normal circumstances but when sufficently charged he could lift 50 tons.
• Energy Absorption: Rieg had the ability to absorb energy from any source to temporarily enhance physical strength fiftyfold, when absorbing energy from a living being his victim would be weakened or even killed.
  • Superhuman Durability: Rieg could use the energy he absorbed to make himself more resistant to damage.
  • Energy Projection: Rieg could emit the energy he absorbed in short-range energy bursts. Whenever he absorbed too much energy he needed to release it with explosive force.
  • Skrull Control: After absorbing the shape-shifting energy of SKrulls he could force them in forms of his choosing.
