History
The Robert Kelly Correctional Facility (aka The Box)[1] was a holding facility designed specifically for mutant criminals. Mesmero, Pyro, and Avalanche were incarcerated there.[2] After Lydia Nance facilitated their escape so they could reform the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, they took part in a plot to trick the X-Men into attacking NYPD officers, leading to their arrest and imprisonment at the Box.[3]
