They found a self-sustaining energy source that had been hidden under the Earth's crust for years, and under CEO David Walsh's instructions, started digging up and collecting the source. Someone named the source Mammon, and the source suddenly possessed Kyle. Despite the top scientists trying to destroy it, Mammon kept adapting until eventually the body couldn't resist it anymore, and Mammon was unleashed. Scarlet Spider managed to destroy it by unleashing the oil on Mammon, containing it within.[2]
