Roberto DeNatale was was a gangster active in New York City. When sleazy photographer "Dirty Jake" Jones spred the word he had information on Spider-man's secret identity for sale, DeNatale sent his goons to harass Jones, in an attempt to intimidate him and get the data for free. His first attempt was at night and in the St. Rudolph Hotel, where Jones resided; but Spider-man interfered, confronting the thugs and giving Jones a chance to escape to the street. De Natale quickly gathered reinforcements and personally led his men to chase Jones. Once they found him, however, Spider-man again appeared, claiming to want revenge on Jones, and defeated DeNatale and his minions. DeNatale himself tried to shoot Jones point-blank, but Spider-man knocked DeNatale down by throwing an unconscious men to him. Spider-man then got rid of the proofs Jones had. DeNatale and his people were sent to prison, only to be bailed by the following sunset.[1]
