Don Rodrigo Alphonso Gonzolo was a Spanish Conquistador serving under Queen Isabella of Spain during the pre-colonial era of America. The Tesseract, a powerful object surviving Asgard's Ragnarok, had landed on Earth centuries prior to the 15th century. Gonzolo and his forces had been commissioned by Queen Isabella and her court to embark on a quest to discover the fabled Fountain of Youth. Unbeknownst to them, this legendary fountain was believed to be hidden in the New World, which was actually the Forbidden Lake concealed within the depths of the Akwesasne nation in America. Their expedition was driven by the allure of eternal life, as they ventured forth into the unknown lands.
History
Rodrigo Alphonso Gonzolo was born around the early 15th century in Spain. As he grew up, Gonzolo ascended through the ranks within the military of the Spanish Empire, eventually becoming a commander of the Spanish Armed Forces. His unwavering loyalty to Queen Isabella of Spain led to his selection for a significant task: leading an expedition to the New World in pursuit of the mythical Fountain of Youth. This revered fountain was rumored to be concealed within the Americas, though unbeknownst to them, it was the Forbidden Lake, empowered by the Tesseract—an Asgardian relic that made its way to Earth following Asgard's destruction during Ragnarok. Upon their arrival in North America, Gonzolo and his men encountered a Mohawk village. They set it ablaze, capturing its inhabitants. Amidst this chaos, Gonzolo spotted Kahhori, a young Mohawk woman, and her brother Wáhta, prompting a pursuit. Their chase led them to the underground cave housing the Forbidden Lake, where Wáhta was captured, and Kahhori was seemingly shot and knocked into the Lake, unwittingly transported to the Sky World.

Gonzolo confronted the captives, revealing his motives for being in America. Threatening a Mohawk woman with his pistol, he demanded information about the Forbidden Lake. However, his soldiers returned with news of their discovery. Believing they had found the Fountain of Youth, Gonzolo encouraged his men to immerse themselves in the Forbidden Lake for immortality. Yet, the soldiers experienced no such effects and were dragged into the Sky World, despite Gonzolo's failed attempts to save them. Convinced of the place's curse and feeling deceived by the Mohawk, Gonzolo ordered the surviving men to chain the Mohawk villagers, intending to sell them as slaves upon their return to Spain. Unbeknownst to Gonzolo, his men's attack on Kahhori provoked her to use her powers to return to Earth and save her people.
As Gonzolo prepared to transport the prisoners back to Spain, Kahhori intervened, deflecting their gunfire effortlessly. Enraged, Gonzolo attempted to confront Kahhori but eventually ordered his men to fire cannons from their ships. Though Kahhori repelled most shots, one cannonball incapacitated her. Seizing the opportunity, Gonzolo moved to strike Kahhori down with his sword. However, the Sky World's inhabitants, led by Atahraks, appeared to confront the conquistadors. In a futile attempt to resist, Gonzolo and his men were overpowered, gradually sinking into the beach's sand under the overwhelming force of Atahraks' people. In his last effort, Gonzolo tried to attack Kahhori, only to meet his demise as she blasted him with her powers, ending his threat once and for all.[1]Trivia
