History

During a fight between the Brotherhood of Mutants and the Avengers, Rogue absorbed Thor to the point of death, subsequently taking up his hammer and accidentally killing some of the other combatants and everyone in the Brotherhood due to her inexperience with the new set of powers. Loki subsequently attempted to manipulate Rogue into attacking Asgard, but the sight of Odin's genuine grief at Thor's death helped Rogue access the residual elements of Thor in her psyche. With Thor explaining that he was an ideal as well as a person, Rogue was able to access her full powers, coming into her own as the heir to the power and title of Thor.
