History
Roscoe Sweeney was a boxing organizer who often fixed fights by using blackmail and extortion. He arranged a fight between "Battlin'" Murdock and "Crusher" Creel that Murdock was meant to lose. After Murdock won the fight in the first round, Sweeney's men killed Murdock.[2]
