History
Rose was a waitress at the Rip Van Winkle Café, nearby Bard College where Charles Xavier was a student. She served the time travelling Bishop, Shard, Wolverine, and Storm when they came back to safe Xavier. After serving them coffee she told her boss Storm and Wolverine were holding hands. The racist owner went to confront them but Wolverine intervened sending him flying over the counter. She watched in horror as a brawl broke out in the Café. Her boyfriend Richard Gilberti was at the Café as well and actually helped Wolverine by pulling the carpet under when of the attacking thugs. [1]
They later married, and her husband was working as a school janitor when he was infected by a piece of Nimrod from the future. He and Rose soon had a son Sebastion, who was unknown to them a fusion of human and Sentinel. Sebastion could feel and hear technology from a young age, which left him feeling different from the other kids. He also took up painting, producing images that were prophetic.[2]. At some point, Bastion's abilities had caught the attention of Charles Xavier, who sought to bring Sebastian into the original team of X-Men. However, Rose's hatred of mutants caused her to close the door in his face when he suggested that her son might be one.[3] Despite doing this, she lied to Sebastian, telling him that she had begged Charles to take him in, but had been rejected.[4]
Many years later, Sebastion transformed his own mother into one of the Prime Sentinel. When Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Cable showed up at her home, she initially made them feel comfortable, only for her to inadvertently reveal her true form and attack them not long after.[2]Attributes
Powers
- Prime Sentinel: After being transformed into a Prime Sentinel by Bastion using the Techno-Organic Virus, Rose gained several superhuman abilities.
