History
Ruby Summers is the daughter of Emma Frost and Scott Summers in the alternate future/universe known as Earth-1191, home timeline of Bishop, Shard, and Trevor Fitzroy. She managed to survive outside of the mutant internment camps, living freely in Atlantic City. She came into contact with the time-stranded Layla Miller and took her to her father, a considerably aged Cyclops, who had survived with the help of cybernetic prosthetics. Layla convinced Ruby to follow the dream of the X-Men and fight for the freedom of mutant-kind. Ruby journeyed to New York City and along with her two friends, Dwayne and Linqon, began the tide-turning "Summers Rebellion." Ruby joined with pro-mutant humans and fought the oppression of mutants by humans. Together with Jamie Madrox and Layla Miller she seeks out Dr. Doom who despite his senility and insanity remains the worlds leading expert on Time Travel on a mission from her father. Doctor Doom is recruited and the gang returns to Atlantic City accompanied by Trevor Fitzroy. Doctor Doom turns on them however during a showdown with the Sentinels and Cortex, one of Jamie Madrox's Dupes from an alternate future. Fitzroy is killed but Ruby convinces Layla to resurrect him and they manage to defeat Cortex and the Sentinels.
