Ruth was a member of the Skull-Crushers bike gang in Florida until she got out, meeting Richard Rory and Man-Thing in her escape from the gang.

She later became a nurse in New York and ended up with James-Michael Starling in her care. Amber Douglas was her roommate in New York.
