Quoquo was the ruler of a prosperous and peaceful kingdom, but since he was hunchbacked and had an ugly appearance, considering people's prejudices, he devised a subterfuge to reign without having problems. In this regard he placed on the throne a mannequin with human features without physical defects and calling him King Sagattus, and he became Sagattus's trusted advisor. Thanks to his advice, the wise King was much loved by both the people and the nobility. The nobles of the kingdom, however, were jealous and envious at the mere thought that such a horrible person as Quoquo could be the only trusted advisor to the king, so they devised a plot that exploited Quoquo's heart problems by making him disappear from the medicine that he used every time he had an attack, so that on his next heart attack, not finding his medicine, Quoquo died, speaking his last words towards the nobles saying that they were fools and that they did not realize what they were doing. Soon after, the nobles realized their mistake when they saw that the King on the throne was not answering to anyone and they realized that it was a lifeless mannequin.[1]
