History

Thermite was recruited by Nighthawk into his Redeemers to oppose his former group, the Squadron Supreme. Along with four other members of the Redeemers (Redstone, Moonglow, Inertia, and Haywire), Thermite infiltrated the Squadron and served for about a month before the Redeemers openly opposed the Squadron. He became known as something of a practical joker amongst the team.

During the battle between the two groups, Thermite was frozen solid when his regulator pack was damaged in an accidental collision with the Whizzer. Thermite was brought to the hospital and remained in critical condition, with only a ten percent chance of recovering.

• Thermokinesis: Thermite could project intense heat from the left side of his body, and intense cold from the right. He needed a regulator pack to control his body temperature at the interface between the two sides of his body.

Weaknesses

Without his regulator pack, Thermite's body couldn't cope with the extreme temperatures it created, with disastrous results.

Equipment

Thermite wore a regulator pack able to balance extreme temperatures. Where he got this pack, and how he managed before he got it is unknown.

Trivia

Thermite was created as a possible amalgamated pastiche of DC Comics' Firefly and either Mr. Freeze or Captain Cold.
